Battersea Power Station Opens To Public

August 8, 2008 by Staff

If you’ve ever wondered what Battersea Power Station looks like from the inside August is the month for satisfying your curiosity with the station open to visitors on August 9, 16, 23 and 30 between 10am and 5pm.

Members of the public will be able to view the inside of the main Boiler House and Turbine Hall and also get a chance to view the exhibition and model of new plans for the site. Entry is free and there is no need to book.

Developer Treasury Holdings has begun a programme of public consultation on its plans for the 33 acre power station site. Plans include eight million square feet of residential, office and retail space as well as a six-acre public park, riverside walk and an urban square.

The power station itself would be developed to incorporate hotel, cinema, retail and residential uses and a new Energy Museum.
