Projects and groups working to help unemployed Londoners back into work are being invited to bid for a share of almost £12m in borough and European funding.
The European Social Fund has matched funding from 15 London boroughs to create a £11.3 million fund to tackle unemployment in the capital.
Applications for funding can be made by organisations working in one of the following participating boroughs:
Barking & Dagenham
Barnet
City of London Corporation
Croydon
Enfield
Hammersmith & Fulham
Hillingdon, Ealing & Hounslow
Hounslow
Kensington & Chelsea
Kingston
Lambeth
Lewisham and Southwark
Southwark
Westminster
Chair of London Councils’ Grants Committee, Mayor Sir Steve Bullock said: “There has never been a more important time for us to offer a helping hand to Londoners wanting to get back into work.
“With the support of the ESF programme, we can double the funding available to schemes helping reduce unemployment across the capital, and I look forward to receiving applications from groups looking for our support.”
