TfL ‘ordered British Transport Police to return 88 officers to the Tube’ according to force insiders

It’s claimed the officers had been moved from the Tube to non-Transport for London rail services to plug gaps elsewhere in the force’s ‘B’ Division which covers London and the South East.

Sadiq Khan confirms upgraded Hopper ticket to launch in early 2018

In addition to enabling passengers to make unlimited bus and tram transfers within one hour, the upgrade will also allow them to travel on a Tube or rail service in London between their two or more bus or tram journeys, allowing them to make faster journeys while still benefitting from additional ‘free’ bus trips.

TfL bus and cab boss Leon Daniels to leave by New Year

Daniels is responsible for TfL’s bus and tram services, as well as overseeing the regulation of taxis and private hire operators, a role which has seen him draw the anger of London’s black cab trade which feels TfL has exposed it to “unfair” competition from cheaper rivals.

New Oyster smartphone app lets customers top up while out and about

Top-ups made via the app, which was designed by Transport for London and developed by Cubic Transportation Systems, can be collected after 30 minutes by touching the Oyster card on the yellow card reader at any Tube or rail station, tram stop or River Bus pier.
