Assembly to hear from Madrid metro bosses

A meeting of the London Assembly Transport Committee later this week will will hear from representatives of Madrid’s metro service about how they conduct engineering works without disrupting passengers.

Assembly Members are looking to find out whether London Underground or PPP contractor Tube Lines can learn from other metro services to help minimise disruption on the Tube network.

The following people will attend:
Ildefonso De Matias, Managing Director, Metro de Madrid (from 10am for up to an hour)
Richard Parry, Interim Managing Director, London Underground (from approx 11am)
Dean Finch, Chief Executive, Tube Lines (from approx 11am)

The meeting, which is open to the public, will be held at City Hall from 10am on Thursday 3 September 2009.
