Assembly to begin scrutiny of Mayor’s 2014/15 budget

November 18, 2013 by Martin Hoscik

city_hall_long_2013London Assembly members will tomorrow (Tuesday 19th November) begin their scrutiny of the Mayor’s budget plans for 2014/15.

The London Assembly’s Budget and Performance Committee will question senior members of the Mayor’s team on whether expected funding levels are sufficient to deliver key manifesto pledges on jobs, growth, housing, environment and support for young people.

The committee’s questions will focus on how decisions are made on possible future investment and the impact of continued uncertainty over government grant levels and City Hall’s business rates allocation.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, 19th November from 10am in Committee Room 5 at City Hall and is open to the public. A live webcast will also be available.

Full papers for the meeting can be downloaded from london.gov.uk/assembly.
