Members of the London Assembly are to investigate the current lack of water and hosepipe ban in London when the Health and Public Services Committee meets next week.
According to the Assembly “South East England has less water available per head than Morocco, Egypt or Kenya”.
On Tuesday, the Members will question water companies, the Environment Agency and the Consumer Council on Water about the scale of the problem and how it can be tackled.
The meeting will take place at 10am on 16th May 2006 in Committee Room 5, City Hall. Meetings are open to the public.
