London’s Armed Police have called off their protest after Met boss Sir John Stevens agreed to review the suspension of two officers and said he would seek legal protection for firearms officers from the Home Office.
Officers were concerned they could face criminal proceedings in future after a an inquest Jury ruled that Insp Neil Sharman and Pc Kevin Fagan had wrongly shot Harry Stanley in 1999.
