Police Minister Nick Herbert is to become the second coalition Minster to appear before the London Assembly and the first ever to appear before an Assembly Committee meeting.

Earlier this year Communities Minister Bob Neill, a former Assembly Member, became the first Minister ever to appear before the London Assembly since devolution to the capital in 2000.

Herbert, Minister of State for Policing and Criminal Justice, will be appearing before the a meeting of the Budget and Performance Committee next Tuesday (7th December) which will be looking at front line policing.

It’s understood the Minister will make a short introductory statement and take questions from AMs.

The public meeting will take place in the City Hall Chamber from 10am
