2012 Utility Providers Sought

September 5, 2006 by Staff

The Olympic Delivery Authority has announced it is seeking tenders from the utility industry to deliver a range of services supporting the development of the Olympic Park.

The providers will be expected to deliver electricity, gas, water, sewerage and telecoms services for the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. There will also be opportunities to supply the business and residential communities who will user the area after the games.

The work to be undertaken is to design, construct, own and operate the utilities, and can be delivered by one company or a range of companies. Another key element to be tendered is the delivery of onsite energy requirements for the Games, including a combined heating and cooling plant (CCHP) and energy from renewable sources.

Interested parties should email newutilities@london2012.com to register their interest in attending.

Appointments are expected to take place by autumn 2007
