20 Artists Back Livingstone

February 1, 2008 - Staff

Over twenty artists including street artist Banksy, Antony Gormley, Turner Prize winner Jeremy Deller, Richard Hamilton and Marc Quinn are donating art work to be auctioned in support of Ken Livingstone being re-elected as Mayor of London.

The work will be sold at the Bid For Ken art auction on 6 March. The proceeds from the sale go towards Mr Livingstone’s campaign fund for the Mayoral Elections on 1 May.

Mr Livingstone said he was “delighted that so many fantastic artists are willing to contribute in this practical way to helping keep London on a progressive and forward-thinking path.”
