Johnson says the takever heralds a new era for the Tube
Londoners are being asked for their views on the Mayor’s plans to reduce the opening hours of ticket offices on the Tube network.

The cuts were announced earlier this year by the Mayor and Transport for London and have been opposed by opposition AMs and tube unions.

Underground bosses say the changes are needed following a decline in ticket sales due to the success of Oyster and insist that bringing staff from behind the counter will improve passenger experience.

Passenger watchdog London TravelWatch is wants to hear from Tube users about how the proposed changes would affect them so that they can collate the feedback and present it to London Underground.

Views can be sent to TravelWatch by emailing info@londontravelwatch.org.uk or by writing to London TravelWatch, 6 Middle St, LONDON, EC1A 7JA.

The deadline for comments is September 10th.
