Lord Mayor supports Soldiers’ Charity with Big Curry Lunch

Tickets have gone on sale for a lunch hosted by The Lord Mayor of London in support of of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity at the City’s historic Guildhall.

The Big Curry Lunch lunch, which takes place on Wednesday 6th April 2011, will serve around 800 people over three sittings and will see a number of unique experiences up for auction.

Lots include firearms training with the city of London Police for six people, ‘behind the scenes’ tour of St Paul’s Cathedral with lunch for a party of eight with the Dean in the Chapter House and a two-week law placement at Energy and Infrastructure lawyers CMS Cameron KcKenna LLP.

The lunch is now in its fourth year and last year’s event, at which HRH The Prince of Wales was guest of honour, raised over £187,000.

Confirming his support for this year’s Lunch, The Rt Hon The Lord Mayor Alderman Michael Bear said: “The City is successful as a generator of wealth for the whole nation.

“I am more than happy to use my influence as The Lord Mayor of the City of London to bring in more support for The Soldiers’ Charity so we can be part of the lifelong support that they offer to soldiers past and present and their families.”

The luck takes place in April 6th, tickets cost £95 each and can be bought online at www.bigcurry.org/tickets
