London Stars in Children of Men

September 25, 2006 - Staff

London is transported to 2027 in the new feature film Children of Men which hits cinemas across the capital this week.

Starring Clive Owen, Julianne Moore and Michael Caine, Children of Men is based on the best-selling P.D. James novel and shows a world which has fallen into anarchy following an infertility defect in the population.

Filmed on location across the capital Children of Men depicts London’s iconic buildings and landmarks as never seen before including an exploding cafe in Fleet Street and range of exotic animals including zebras, camels, and llamas roaming in St James’s Park.

Producers were aided by London Film who provided logistics and technical support. Adrian Wootton, CEO of Film London said the film “demonstrates that London is able to deliver on large-scale productions with complex filming requirements to spectacular effect.”
