Obama should order US Embassy to pay c-charge

President Obama should order the US Embassy in London to pay its £3.5m of outstanding Congestion Charge fines according to Assembly Member Murad Qureshi. Qureshi says the Embassy “should set an example by acting responsibly and coughing up like everyone else.”

Richmond considers CO2 parking extension

Motorists who park ‘the most-polluting vehicles’ in Richmond could soon be paying 25% more than other car users, The Liberal Democrat controlled council’s ‘cabinet’ will discuss extending their CO2 based parking policy on the 19th January.

Christmas 2008 congestion charge changes

Transport for London (TfL) has confirmed that Congestion Charge will not operate over the festive period. For the fifth year running motorists will not have to pay the Congestion Charge from Thursday 25 December until Thursday 1 January inclusive.

Council calls for faster end to congestion charge

Hammersmith and Fulham Council are calling on Mayor Boris Johnson to speed up the axing of the Congestion Charge’s Western Extension, claiming the worsening economic situation allowed him to scrap the extension “long before 2010”.
