Tube crime reduction welcomed

Transport for London (TfL) has welcomed British Transport Police (BTP) figures showing that crime on the Tube and DLR networks, including assaults on LU staff, has fallen over the past year.

50 additional transport police for outer London

Boris Johnson yesterday announced that he would provide funding for an additional 50 British Transport Police officers to patrol trains and stations in outer London. The funding will come from Transport for London who already fund BTP officers at London Underground and Overground stations.
