Assembly to probe Mayor’s economic development vision

The London Assembly will tomorrow quiz experts and Greater London Authority officials on Boris Johnson’s vision for the capital’s economic development, as set out in his recently published document ‘Rising to the Challenge: Proposals for the Mayor’s Economic Development Strategy for Greater London’.

Members of the London Assembly Economic Development, Culture, Sport and Tourism Committee will meet on Tuesday, 2nd June when they will hear from:

  • Anthony Browne, Policy Director, Greater London Authority (GLA)
  • Erika Lewis, Director of Corporate Strategy, London Development Agency (LDA)
  • Tony Travers, Director, Greater London Group at the London School of Economics
  • Greg Clark, independent consultant on urban economic development.

Members of the public are invited to attend the meeting which will be held from 10am in Committee Room 5 at City Hall.
