| Customer Reviews: good quality paper June 23, 2010 P. A. Norris (Tring, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Good price, good product and gives a creditable result. I would recommend the paper to all but the more serious photographers, it is excellent value for money.

Standard photo prints for virtually nothing January 29, 2010 Rob (UK) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Having had some VERY bad experiences trying to order discounted Canon photo papers recently through third party sellers, I gave up and paid the full retail amount through Amazon. However even paying their non-discount rate, this 50-sheet box of paper gives you prints at less than 19 pence each.
This paper - PP201 - is 100x150mm, or 4x6". It's what you'd call your standard snapshot size, like what you'd have once got back from a high street film developers. It has a highly glossy finish, and is quite nicely weighted at 260g/m^2. Canon give it a 5 star rating but don't really explain what that means. It is of course fully ChromaLife100 compatible, and the recommendation is that you leave prints to fully dry for 24hrs once printed.
I use the paper with a Canon PIXMA iP4700 Colour Printer. I ONLY use original Canon inks, and I ONLY use papers for which a compatible ICC profile is available. At the moment for me this means Canon original papers. Ensuring original inks and papers are used means that you print what you see on the screen. Assuming of course that your monitor is properly calibrated - if you have no idea what any of this means or why it is important for photo printing, then read Color Management for Photographers (also reviewed).
For showing off great photos I use Canon's A4 sized Pro II paper, but for test prints and printing off snaps for friends Pro Glossy II is ideal. In the 50-sheet box it's so cheap per print that I wouldn't even bother buying the lower quality paper which Canon provide for "everyday use".
