Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.co.uk Review
It's not a horror film, but An Inconvenient Truth is certainly one of the scariest DVDs you could own. Presented in a straightforward format by former US Vice President Al Gore--think Royal British Institute lecture delivered with a Tennessee drawl--it sets out its compelling argument about climate change both methodically and entertainingly. Global warming is a real danger, argues Gore, and human civilisation is the root cause of it. A dizzying and shocking array of facts relating to carbon emissions, the population explosion and the disintegration of the polar icecaps all add weight to his thesis. Moreover, we're already witnessing some of the effects of global warming around the world, with an increasing amount of storms, droughts and other natural disasters, more in the past few years. But Gore doesn't present these facts merely to terrify the viewer. Instead, they're meant to shock us out of complacency and into action. Indeed, the film ends with some very simple ways we can all contribute to averting this impending global catastrophe. And that, argues Gore, is the point of An Inconvenient Truth. We have the ability to change our ways, what we lack is what Gore describes as "the political will." It is his hope that this film will begin to change all of that. --Ted Kord

The only thing constant about the climate is climate change.
Stop worrying about something that is a natural process.

"It would seem that men and women need a common motivation, namely a common adversary, to organize and act together in the vacuum such as motivation seemed to have ceased to exist or have yet to be found. The need for enemies seems to be a common historical factor...Bring the divided nation together to face an outside enemy, either a real one or else one invented for the purpose...

Democracy will be made to seem responsible for the lagging economy, the scarcity and uncertainties. The very concept of democracy could then be brought into question and allow for the seizure of power.

In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. The real enemy then is humanity itself."

'The First Global Revolution', (1991) published by the Club of Rome (NGO thinktank which advises governments)

This film is full of inaccuracies, fudged data, speculation and general lies.

Anyone who has researched global climate change can clearly see that it is a natural phenomena that is dictated by powers we have no control over, for example the sun and its solar cycles. If it weren't for the natural occurring climate change cycles then where I live at the moment, the UK would be encased by massive glaciers, over history people have grown oranges in London and ice skated on the Thames River, both are not possible now due to the change in climate (naturally occurring).

The powers that be are using the threat of 'man made' climate change to further their agenda of destroying the middle class, soon we will all be paying carbon taxes to a world central bank even though carbon is a necessary building block for life. Its been proven in peer reviewed literature that the increase in carbon will mean increased oxygen due to the increase in vegetation and also a decrease of desertification not to mention that humans contribute less than 1% of all carbon in the atmosphere, the 99%+ that constitutes the atmosphere is all naturally occurring. So, if we stop producing all man made carbon, which would mean you will have to stop breathing then we reduce world carbon emissions by less than 1%, research has proven this wont do very much apart from lower the world's population.

People also don't realise that if the developed nations introduce draconian taxes due to emissions, and the developing countries don't then our economies will collapse. For example if you own a company that has to pay extortionate taxes manufacturing in the UK, but you don't in India where will you move your business to?

Not to mention the ice core samples that have shown the CO2 levels have been higher in previous era's, and we are still alive, the earth didn't turn into a fiery ball of hell as Al Gore would like you to think.

Please resist this agenda, if you are a real environmentalist then please start being concerned with the bee holocaust which research is suggesting is due to GM crops or the cross-splicing of human, animal and plant DNA to create chimera's, these are the real environmental issues that people should be concerned with.

To sum up, as the controlled media and the corrupt governments of the world continue to push for a world carbon tax to bring us all back into a state of neo-feudalism I hope that you will resist, that when a government official tells you that the world is flat that you go and do a bit of in depth research and realise that the politician is lying through his teeth to the benefit of the elite private interests that bankroll him.

and lastly, if you haven't seen the recent data it suggests we are entering a cooling phase (data from NASA), the world average temperature has not risen in 10 years and now the sun has had the least amount of activity this year than it has ever had since records began. This decrease in solar activity means that the world will get a bit colder, the artic ice pack has expanded this year much to the disappointment of the 'man made climate brigade' as it didn't decrease as they proclaimed, the ice caps on Mars are also re-freezing due to the suns lack of activity.

Or maybe our cars are influencing the climate on other planets too?

Open your eyes, ask questions, demand answers.

I am very disappointed with this film. I know I am very late to the game in watching this and I confess I bought it and watched (along with the accompanying book) as I had heard so much about it.

I guess given the target audience I should not be surprised by its tone but it really is very poor. Mostly tabloid/hollywood schlock horror ifs and maybe. Very light on the proven facts.

No meat, not even the gravy from the meat, just candyfloss. The current BBC broadcast Ian Stewart programs "Climate Wars" look far more interesting.

Well done Al Gore for showing us what we all need to hear. Each and everyone of us can change the world for good or bad, the choice is ours and we should feel compelled to make our stand.

An inconvenient truth is what it's all about and it's time we all stopped hiding from ourselves.

This film is so powerful and a warning we should all heed. Not just for ourselves, but for our children, our families and our planet.

We all have a duty to spread the word and do what we can to help save our home. I shall be buying 100 copies of "An inconvenient truth" and giving them away to friends, family and colleagues.

Lets change the world before it's too late.

Winston Churchill once said
"The era of procrastination, of half-measures, of soothing and baffling expedients, of delays, is coming to a close. In its place we are entering a period of consequences."

In relation to another world crisis, but the words still ring true in our current crisis.

We need to stop supporting fair weather politicians without vision & balls to see in to our own future and act upon it.

Ignorance is no excuse in law, neither in life.

Al Gore has opened my eyes to the fact we have been duped for a very long time.

This isnt about politics or conspiracy theories and the world doesnt owe us anything. This is about us and our negative impact, and do we really need to be destroying ourselves like this? I dont and I am going to change what I can in all areas of my own life.

All buying this DVD will do is help swell Al Gore's bank accounts,
while old Gore laugh's at the idiots who believe everyone should cut back on everything while He,
in his own infinite importance,
jet sets around the world!
Go on, buy it Now!
You'll help stop global warming!
