Homeowners and commercial letting agents hoping to cash-in on the expected London 2012 Olympics rental boom are being invited to attend a free tax advice workshop being hosted by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC).
HMRC says the event, which tales place on Friday 11 March 2011, is the first of its kind and is aimed at property owners and their agents looking to rent out property to Olympic visitors.
Jacky Scarlett, HMRC’s 2012 Olympics Education Project Manager, said: “We will be offering practical advice and essential information to residents and landlords about the tax implications of receiving income from renting out property. This free seminar is part of a series of events we are holding on a variety of topics in the run up to the 2012 Games.”
The ‘Income from Property’ presentation takes place on Friday 11 March 2011 at St John’s Church, Broadway, Stratford, London E15 1NG. The event runs for around three hours starting at 13.30.
