Drivers who have been assaulted and robbed at knife point find it almost impossible to get assistance on the phone. They then have to find a police station that is not shut out of office hours and to top it all they then have to find a legal place to park. I think London's Taxi drivers should be given a special number to ring where they would be put in contact with a control room to get immediate assistance. I know that the Transport police can be called to assist bus drivers, It would be a great idea if we could be included into the transport police catchment area.
