City converts six roads to two-way for cyclists

City of London officials have announced that six “quiet one-way streets” are to become two-way for cyclists from Monday. Local signs and road markings will be updated to reflect the new arrangements. Officials are warning pedestrians to ensure they look both ways when crossing the affected streets.

Smokers are being warned they risk fines and even prosecution if they’re caught dropping cigarette butts within the City of London. The warning comes as the City of London Corporation launches its ‘No ifs. No Butts.’ campaign and promises to “adopt a tough approach” to anyone dropping smoking-related litter on the City’s streets.
