Haven't the recent events taught you anything? The drive to make money outweighs every social aspect of our lives. They have just approved the extra runway at Stanstead based on the same dubious 'job creation and expansion' claims. Heathrow will be next. Why should City airport care about residents when there is money to be made. The best thing you can do is hope for a depression and perhaps they won't build it. When will this country learn? Haven’t the recent events taught you anything?

Why should City airport care about residents when there is money to be made.

The London City Airport was only ever meant to be a small airport and limited to 30,000 flights as it was in residential area. 2. None of the local Councillors in Newham spoke to represent residents objections!. 3. Even our local MP Stephen Timms wrote in to the local paper to support the airport. 4. At the Planning meeting none of the Councillors bothered to grill the London City Airport about the lack of noise monitoring for the last 8 years and dubious claims about job benefits. 5. The airport spreads lies, saying it is people's fault for living near airport.
