The London Transport Museum are offering visitors the chance to meet the curators of the museum’s Under Attack: London, Coventry and Dresden exhibition at a special private view and talk event to be held next week.
The exhibition, which was opened in September by the Mayors of London, Dresden and Coventry, marks the 70th anniversary of the Blitz and the 65th anniversary of the bombing of Dresden.
Visitors to next Tuesday’s private view will be able to enjoy a complimentary glass of wine in the Museum’s gallery.
After the private viewing curators Steve Bagley (Coventry Transport Museum), David Bownes (London Transport Museum) and the former Director of the Dresden Verkehrsmuseum, Dr. Michael Dünnebier will give an illustrated talk which will last around two hours.
On the 23rd of November Oliver Green, author of Discovering London’s Railway Stations, will present an illustrated exploration of the “architecture, engineering and curiosities” of London’s railway termini.
