Crisis Seeks City Runners

Homeless charity Crisis is looking for top city firms to enter teams into the Crisis Square Mile Run - a 3.5 mile run past some of the capital’s most famous landmarks - to raise money towards the fight against homelessness across the UK.

Leslie Morphy, Chief Executive of Crisis, said: “It is well known that top city firms employ some of the world’s most competitive people. We want to put that energy to good use by pitting them against one another on the streets of London to help homeless people get the support they need to get off the streets and back into society.”

Prizes will be awarded for the largest team and fastest runners over the course.

The run is being supported by Fidelity International and takes place on 12 June 2008 at 7pm in the heart of the City.

Peter Yandle, Executive Director – Marketing & Corporate Communications at Fidelity International, said: “As the official supporter of the event, Fidelity International will be entering a large team of runners on the day but we hope that the run sparks a competitive buzz in the city and encourages more corporate teams to take up the challenge.”
