City Hall reception for Asian business leaders

Boris Johnson and Richard Barnes, London’s Deputy Mayor, have been meeting leading members of London’s Asian business community at a City Hall reception held to thank them for their contribution to the capital’s economy.

Johnson to develop London economic recovery plan

London Mayor Boris Johnson has announced he is developing a Economic Recovery Action Plan to help support Londoners through the economic downturn and expected recession. City Hall says Johnson is considering a range of measures including “bringing forward large scale infrastructure investment projects to help secure London jobs” and making it easier for small companies to bid for contracts with the Greater London Authority.

London looks set to get a new Apple store and become the European headquarters of the US computer giant after Westminster City Council approved plans to redevelop a site adjacent to the iconic Royal Opera House.
