The capital has some real treats in store this Easter, from the opening of Gorilla Kingdom at London Zoo to giant bunnies at Kew Gardens, luxurious hotel breaks to kids' Easter trails. Make the most of the spring weather to get out-and-about around London this Easter.

Be one of the first to see London Zoo's Gorilla Kingdom, which opens its doors to visitors this Easter. Designed to mimic a bai, or forest clearing, where gorillas spend time in the wild, Gorilla Kingdom will allow visitors to get breathtakingly close to a colony of Western lowland gorillas.

Kew Gardens have a whole host of family-friendly Easter activities including a Children's Spring Bulb Trail; an Animal Farm offering children the chance to stroke, groom and feed animals; a visit by giant bunnies from the Giant Rabbit Rescue Centre; and an Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday.

For more family fun, visit Kenwood House for the Easter Trail (6-9 April, 11am-4pm), which will take you around Kenwood’s magnificent grounds. It's free for adults and £1 for children.

If you really want to treat yourself this Easter, hop over to The Berkeley or Claridge's between 6 and 10 April, and stay from £199 per night, including delectable handmade Easter eggs for all the family.

Or celebrate at The Ritz, where the Easter package includes one night's accommodation, English breakfast, an Easter three course luncheon in The Ritz Restaurant, a bouquet of daffodils and an Easter egg on arrival. Prices are from £500 based on two people sharing a twin or double room, and this deal is available from 2 to 13 April.

If you'd prefer a rocking Easter weekend, get your tickets now for Razorlight at Earls Court on Easter Sunday. The Brit Award nominated band will play in front of 18,000 fans in the final gig of their UK tour. Be quick as tickets are selling fast!
