The very best August 17, 2008 Billy The Baker 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is the fourth different make of zapper I've bought and it certainly outperforms and outlasts all of the others. Two of them suffered cracked frames, and all of the other makes were difficult to use because of outer safety mesh. I bought The Executioner in the summer 0f 2007 and it is still going strong and performing well on the original batteries a year later. And it has certainly killed many flies, moths, midges and other flying nasties. Highly recommended.
Doing half the job August 7, 2008 The Wizard (London, UK) We have had it for a couple of weeks using the batteries supplied. Although it will consistently knock a fly out that fly will be up and flying within 3 seconds. So if you don't mind finishing the job off within that window of opportunity this is probably for you. Otherwise it is doing half the job.
Kills smaller insects stone dead - not so good with flies though July 24, 2008 Probono 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought a couple of these last year when we were plagued with mosquitoes, and they worked brilliantly. Still working fine this year, unlike the cheaper ones we once bought, which packed up pretty quickly.
These are very good, provided they don't start trying to cheapen them to save on production costs.
Mosquitoes and other small insects will be killed outright, but flies take more than one zap (if you can catch them at all, that is).
This is kind of addictive! June 30, 2008 Reidy (Co-Down) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have bought a few of these type of fly zappers before, none of which seemed to work very well, mainly due to the outer layers of mesh to protect the user.
The Executioner is a different beast altogether... There aren't enough flies around to use this on. This thing is amazing and let out very satisfying crack and spark when a fly is swiped by it! I bought one for the landlady of my local pub and everytime she zapps a fly, the bar lets out a cheers... Highly recommended!
Use lithium batteries for best results January 22, 2008 Paul W (UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have 4 of these now for different rooms in the house.
I would highly recommend lithium AA batteries as they maintain their voltage throughout their life - and it's the voltage that frys the flys!
I've found it to be very effective - it's winter so less flies to test it on but so far I've zapped 2 flies and 4 or 5 mozzies. Zapped all of them in one shot!
It even worked on a smaller mozzie - I'd wondered if the distance between the wires was too great but didnt seem to be.
Probably won't work on thunderflies - too small ( but very annoying! )
