poor show from raleigh August 1, 2008 David Kinrade (Milton Keynes) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this bike for my 8 year old daughter largley due to the Raleigh name and pretty good reviews from other Amazon customers. The bike on the whole seems to be very good value for money, as a previous reviewer say's the brakes and gears are cheap but my real problem is the gear shift. It's very hard to operate for a grown up and completly impossible for a child. My local raleigh dealer recommends replacing this with a shimano shifter and I think this may solve the problem but I guess I would have expected a market leader to produce a bike for 8 year old girls that can be operated by 8 year old girls. The 1 star is a bit harsh but it balances some previous very generous reviews.

This bike is very good value for money. I bought it for my Grand Daughter, and my husband who is very fussy said I dont know how they can make it for that price, so dont listen to the moaners who say not exactly a bargain it is grab it!!
Good value bicycle July 16, 2008 JK Highlands (Scotland) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this bicycle for my 10yr old daughter who has only recently gained her confidence in cycling. It arrived in the Highlands on the 3rd morning after ordering, very well packaged. It was easy to assemble and seems well made and sturdy. The brakes and gears needed a little adjustment which is why it doesn't get 5*. My daughter loves it. A very good value bicycle. Check out the Argos catalogue for the same bike at 89.99.
Great little bike, at a great price! July 15, 2008 TiaB (West Midlands) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this bicycle for my 9 year old daughter, she loves it! I managed to put it together very quickly with no problems. It seems well made, I have to admit I was suspicious with it being so cheap, but it would seem the saying, you get what you pay for doesn't apply to this bicycle :-)
Quality Bike At A Bargain Price July 9, 2008 A. Robertson (Fife, Scotland) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
Do not be put off by the price. It would be more appropriate to question why other bikes are so expensive. This is a well put together bike. The seat pin is a proper 10" long so there is a lot of room for growth. It is a no nonsence bike without all the frilly but perhaps unecessary bits. Ten minutes after trying it out for the first time we were off for a cycle in the woods without incident.Oh and the paintwork is a wonderful pearlesant pink.
